We are a rural hospital that serves nearly 70,000 patients every year through our active community - based health care program.
We offer both curative and preventive health care services including counselling, diagnostic and treatment services to an average of 80 patients per day.
A total of 80,475 patients were admitted to Kiwoko Hospital's five Wards between 2010/2011 and 2019/2020.
We run ten specialist outpatient clinics through which care is extended
to 837 mental health and epilepsy patients, 2700 HIV clients,
99 sickle cell patients, 170 diabetic patients among others.
The program is responsible for 45% of the children that were fully immunised by the hospital in 2019/2020.
Approximately 60% of the hospital's annual budget
is funded by partners and donors. It is with this support
that the hospital is in position to offer quality and affordable
health care services to the poor and vulnerable people living in the Greater Luwero Triangle.
To the family of the late Mrs. Vera Bell, a Community Pharmacist (1925 to 2017) of Bangor, Northern Ireland, who funded the development of this website in her memory.
Treating people with utmost care is our first priority.
We take joy in caring for members of our community and beyond.
